Images of you on my mind
Floating in and out of view
I stand still in mind and body
And fill my time with thoughts of you.

For the longest time

I have stared at the moon

As it shines so brightly in the night

A marvelous creation it is

That luminescent body in the sky

The night as calm as them shining stars
Beaming into my heart as I am dying slowly
I wish I can hold on for the rest of my life

But like you it’s something I am fighting to keep

The dusk creeps upon us slowly
When we are too busy running the day.
I wish time would stand still for a moment
So I could spend a day or two with you.

The streets becomes crowed with life
As we fade into the nothingness of sleep
I know I'm an imperfect being
But when dreaming of you perfection is achieved

The people greet me with a smile
And I know only loneliness to come
I'm happy I have live
Just outside your heart's city limits.
